Materials Close to Home

Every object begins with a material.

Whenever possible, our oak, ash and Douglas fir is sourced through Danish Woodlands, an initiative connecting Danish forestry with local furniture makers. Their work creates a shorter path between forest, workshop and home, while supporting responsible woodland management.

Using locally grown timber is about more than distance. It creates a closer relationship with the material itself. Every board carries its own grain, colour and character, reminding us that no two pieces are ever the same.

Today, Danish oak, ash and Douglas fir are used across selected pieces, including the Tunnel Bed Frame. It reflects our ambition to produce close to where we design, using materials that tell their own story.

Just as the finest examples of Danish furniture have done for generations, we believe materials should never be overworked or concealed. They should be allowed to speak for themselves.
